Apparently the newest trend in mobile phones is square and the world famous mobile phone manufacturer has brought us the Motorola Flipout. This device is not only unique in shape (it’s square), but it also comes with impressive features. But unlike some of the other square phones that are being introduced that are sliders, the Flipout lives up to its name. The screen flips around one corner of the square to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard.
The Flipout is also very fashionable, coming in a wide array of colors such as saffron, brilliant blue, licorice, raspberry crush, fairway green, poppy red and white.
The first thing that will attract your attention with this phone are the dimensions. The device measures 67x67x17mm. Yes, it’s perfectly square. The screen is 2.8 inches and has a resolution of 320x240 pixels and 256K colors. The touch screen takes up most of the front of the unit and has all the physical buttons hidden away. It also offers a gravity accelerometer, multi-touch data input technology and proximity sensors.
The Flipout offers a 3 megapixel camera that comes with a number of editing tools giving the user the ability to rotate, crop and add borders and enhancements. The camera also has face detection and geo tagging. The video camera has a resolution of 352 x 288 and records at 26-30 frames per second.
Music lovers will enjoy the Flipout’s media player. It offers full screen lyric support, integrated song ID and social resolution.
To keep you connected the Flipout supports Bluetooth 2.1 with enhanced data rate and also an array of profiles for hands free and wireless audio. There is also USB for synchronization and fast connectivity as well as 3G capabilities. Wi-Fi is also included to allow fast internet connectivity in compatible hotspots.
Motorola isn't ready to give up their market yet and the Motorola Flipout is still selling. It has various deals on mobile contracts in the UK in which you can take advantage of.
